We are currently seeking an experienced registered dental hygienist to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our practice.*Perks and Benefits:** Health, vision, and dental insurance* Paid Time Off, Short-Term Disability Insurance, and other benefits* Ongoing training and career development opportunities* Organization wide and RDH specific social events* Scrub allowance* 401(k) retirement plan*Key Responsibilities:** Promotes dental health through prophylaxis, cancer screening, and radiographic studies.* Charts decay and disease conditions and complies with Dental Practice Act.* Prepares treatment room according to protocols and procedures.* Welcomes, soothes, seats, and drapes patients for dental hygiene treatment.* Answers questions and requests from patients and employees.* Maintains dental instruments through sharpening, sterilizing, and selection.* Evaluates patient's oral health to select materials and equipment for hygiene visit.* Cleans deposits and stains from teeth and below gum margins during prophylaxis.* Detects disease through oral cancer screening and examination of gums.* Helps dentists during emergencies with CPR certification, emergency drugs, and oxygen supply.* Educates patients on oral hygiene and provides postoperative instructions, reminders for next visit.* Documents vital signs, medical and dental histories in patient records.* Maintains confidentiality and creates a safe and clean working environment.* Adheres to infection-control policies and protects patients and employees.* Manages dental supplies inventory and conserves resources.* Uses equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job.*Required Qualifications:** Active IL Hygiene License_Associates for Dental Care provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
