ABOUT THE POSITION:We are looking for a talented professional to manage and direct all income and indirect tax matters for the US and Canada. This position interacts with our Japanese HQ tax group and sister companies on domestic and international tax matters. You will research US federal, state & local, and international tax issues and opportunities and will manage the relationships and coordinate the tax services for all accounting firms engaged. This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating federal and state audits for income tax and sales & use tax. In this role, you will support our tax and compliance needs by:

• Partnering with our Japanese HQ tax group and sister companies on domestic and international tax matters.
• Researching US federal, state & local, and international tax issues and opportunities.
• Managing the relationships and coordinate the tax services for all accounting firms engaged.
• Managing and coordinating federal and state audits for income tax and sales & use tax.
• Training, managing, and developing one direct report (Senior Tax Accountant).
• Preparing provision for income tax under ASC 740.
• Developing and presenting tax planning strategies for state and local taxes and international tax planning opportunities for the company.
• Facilitating the implementation of tax projects including identifying, understanding, communicating and managing projects from inception to completion.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree required. Master's in Taxation (MST), CPA or J.D. preferred.
  • 5+ years of exclusive tax experience.
  • Strong federal income tax background including consolidated C Corporation, and provision for income tax (ASC 740).
  • Strong state and local income tax background.
  • Experience in sales & use tax is preferred.
  • Solid international tax skills are preferred
