Overview:The Facilities Division of OVG360 has an exciting opening for a Staff Accountant at the Now Arena, in Hoffman Estates, IL. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for being part of maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of financial and accounting activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative professional accountable for all day-to-day accounting functions. This position requires monitoring, controlling and auditing for accuracy and compliance by applying US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to analyze and compile financial information. The Successful Candidate will be efficient and have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Responsibilities include:Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, bi-weekly payroll processing, Reporting, Journal entries, reconciliations, and general office duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.Yearly Salary: $65,000 to $70,000For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, matched Pension plan, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and Statutory holidays).Responsibilities:Administers Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bi-weekly Payroll processingWorks with Daily Postings for Ticketing Revenue via Ticketmaster and the Box Office special reportsReconciles credit card and banking fees to each event and prepares Journal EntriesCoordinates event revenue support for parking, credit card deposits and working within multiple reporting systems to obtain financial informationCommunicates with all departments assisting with proper coding and support for event and budget itemsCreates month-end journal entries, monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and petty cash accountsHelps prepare and review support schedules for balance sheet accountsSupports month-end close and provides ad hoc financial reports to upper managementPerforms monthly internal audits and coordinates the provision of information to external auditors annuallyResponsible for Human Resources related activities for all departmentsPerforms Tax Prep and submission for Sales Tax, Amusement Tax, Parking Tax and Music Royalties (ASCAP/BMI/SESAC)Completes administrative services, researches and supports special projects in an ever-changing, fast-paced environmentEnsures professional development through ongoing education and obtains additional certifications as appropriateCoordinates with vendors, customers, and employees to verify the accuracy of information and troubleshoots issues to resolve discrepanciesMaintains IRS W-9's and helps coordinates Certificates of Insurance for vendorsDevelops and documents policies to implement internal controls and procedures to improve efficiencyPrepares year-end 1099'sQualifications:B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university preferred3+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial managementExcel: 5 years (Preferred)Working Knowledge of Sage Software a plusExperience with ADP payroll Systems a plusProficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.Must pass background and credit check per guidelinesStrong attention to detail requiredSolid Management, motivational and interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesA positive, upbeat and professional attitude and strong work ethicYou must be self-motivated and a team playerPartner with other departments ensuring financial success of the venueWillingness and enthusiasm to learn and take on new tasksSuperb verbal/written communications and organizational skillsVaccination Statement:We are committed to ensuring all our buildings and office locations are the safest in the world for artists, teams, employees, and fans.
