• Accelerated Career Growth!Job DetailsAs our Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:1. Assisting the Controller in managing all aspects of accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.2. Ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and cash accounting standards.3. Preparing and analyzing cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets.4. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's business objectives.5. Collaborating with the finance team to streamline and improve financial processes.6. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and reporting variances.7. Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.8. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Qualifications:To be considered for this role, you will need:1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.2. A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.3. Solid knowledge of GAAP, cash accounting, and construction accounting.4. Proven experience in financial reporting and cash flow analysis.5. Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.6. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.7. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.8.
