seeking ambitious, analytical underwriting talent with 5-10 years
of experience in the insurance industry with experience in
builders’ risk and property underwriting. This is a high-profile
client facing role working directly with WTW CRB NA to develop new
and existing partnerships in line with its strategic growth
initiatives. The successful candidate will work in a highly
collaborative Verita (MGU) team environment. Note: Employment-based

this specific job opportunity. The Role Work with WTW’s broking
team(s), Verita executives, actuaries, and cat modelers to analyze
Verita’s insurance risks on a portfolio level to obtain capacity in
the form of delegated authority, reinsurance structures and/or
other innovative solutions. Negotiate and place Reinsurance
Treaties and/or FAC placements utilizing markets from London, the
US, Bermuda and around the world. Coordinate and attend
underwriting and claim audits with Verita’s capacity markets on a
regular basis. Ensure that company, market and client related
documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and
on time. Comply with external regulatory and internal statutory
policies, procedures and regulations. Coordinate internal
resources, such as analytics, contracts and client services to
provide solutions to client(s). Meet with senior management both
internally and externally to present materials. The candidate must
have experience in Builder’s Risk, General Liability and Property
Candidates with significant experience/relationships in one of
these areas will be considered and expected to develop the
expertise in the other areas. Conduct comprehensive market analysis
to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to Verita’s
portfolio. Engage with capacity providers and reinsurance markets
to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage to secure optimal
outcomes for Verita. Stay abreast of industry developments,
regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact reinsurance
strategies. Assist in the training and development of graduate
hires. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Good
understanding of pricing components and rating methodologies Uses
all appropriate underwriting tools, disciplines and knowledge of
strategies to ensure underwriting guidelines are followed Exhibits
strong underwriting skills through strategic, thorough account
reviews and file documentation Adheres to guidelines and
underwriting discipline to minimize exposure and appropriately
price risk. Complete understanding and ability to use sophisticated
pricing models across various structures, guaranteed cost,
captives, SIR’s, deductibles, etc. Qualifications The Requirements:
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university. 8
years of work experience, preferably in Property and Casualty
insurance, reinsurance or related non-life insurance consulting.
Understanding of Managing General Underwriter program life cycles
and placements. Strong negotiation skills Ability to multi-task
priorities in a fast-paced, high intensity environment. Experience
in giving presentations to prospects, capacity partners and
internal groups. Computer skills, including Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook. Effective analysis, problem solving and
communication skills. Strong knowledge of property insurance
policies and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving
skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in assessments. Ability to
work independently and as part of a team. Very strong technical and
leadership qualities Well established in the marketplace and has
excellent relationships with brokers and agents on both regional
and national level Well versed and experienced in working,
producing and underwriting all sizes of accounts with large
brokerage houses, agents and specialty retailers. Established
underwriting, quoting and binding track record of profitable
business. This position will remain posted for a minimum of three
business days from the date posted or until a
sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits
information for this position are being included in accordance with
requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation.
Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the
same role based on several factors, including but not limited to
location of the role, individual competencies,
education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience,
performance in the role and potential for revenue generation
(Producer roles only). Compensation The base salary compensation
range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 USD per
year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive
