Maintenance Mechanic Location: Chicago, IL Pay: $35–$40 per hour
(DOE) Hours: 40–50 hours per week, with some Saturdays Job
Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial
Maintenance Mechanic to join our Chicago team. The ideal candidate
will have hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical
maintenance within industrial settings. You will ensure the smooth
operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery critical to our
production processes. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent
breakdowns and ensure optimal operation. Troubleshooting: Diagnose
mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and
implement effective solutions. Repairs: Perform repairs on
machinery, including mechanical components, electrical systems,
hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Machine Setup & Calibration: Set
up and adjust machines according to production specifications,
ensuring proper calibration and operation. Installation: Assist in
the installation and commissioning of new equipment, integrating it
into the production line efficiently. Safety Compliance: Follow all
safety regulations and company policies, ensuring maintenance tasks
are completed safely. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of
maintenance activities, repairs, replacements, and preventive
maintenance tasks. Collaboration: Work closely with production
teams to minimize downtime and provide support or training to other
team members as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred 3–5
years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and
electrical expertise Proficiency reading technical manuals,
blueprints, and schematics Strong troubleshooting skills for
mechanical and electrical issues Familiarity with hydraulic and
pneumatic systems Experience in machine setup and calibration
Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced
environment Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding
tasks OSHA 10 certification required Must pass pre-employment drug
screen
