Job Category Nonprofit - Social Services Description This position
is responsible for providing education, training and support, both
on and off the job site to individuals enrolled in Little Citys
employment services division through the least intrusive systematic
task instruction in integrated employment environments. The
position requires networking with business, family and agency staff
to promote the development of natural supports. This position also
provides education to employers and others directly involved with
the individual regarding relevant issues (accommodations,
disability awareness, etc.). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined
herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be
performed. The omission of an essential function does not preclude

are a logical assignment to the position. + Work a flexible
schedule based on the work schedule of the individuals served as
determined by the employer. + Facilitate classroom training
utilizing the approved Employee Development learning curriculum. +
Conduct job site analyses and work performance evaluations on a
periodic basis to ensure the individuals success. Identify and
implement job modifications and accommodations, when necessary, to
promote the success of the individual and job retention. Monitor
progress, record data and complete reports, particularly log or
coaching notes, accurately and in a timely manner. + Provide
transportation to and from community sites. + Provide training on
employer personnel policies and specific job skills through the
least intrusive system possible. + Effectively communicate with the
individual, employer/s, coworkers, and family to facilitate on the
job and situational assessments. + Coordinate and provide (as
needed) travel training to and from the worksite. + Discuss and
implement support reductions in collaboration with the individual,
the employer, other agency staff, funding source, and other
interested parties. + Serve as an advocate, when necessary, on
behalf of the individual. + Provide additional necessary services
for individuals, as required by funding source and/or identified by
the employment team (e.g. travel training, community based
assessment, job readiness classes, assistance with application
process, job orientation, etc.). + Facilitate on the job and
situational assessments, monitor progress, record data and complete
reports, particularly log or coaching notes, accurately and in a
timely manner. + Function as part of the interdisciplinary team
providing input on performance with recommendations to the
individuals community support team and/or at IPE or ISP meetings. +
Remain abreast of the current trends and issues in the field of
integrated community employment and ways to best assist individuals
providing information to individuals served, employers and other
interested parties, as necessary. + Represent the values and
mission of Little City to other professionals, employers, the
general public, individuals served and agency employees. +
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace by following and
teaching individuals served safety procedures, implementing good
housekeeping practices and proper materials handling, enforcing the
use of protective equipment when necessary and reporting all unsafe
acts and conditions. + Work collaboratively with other agency staff
and external customers to enhance communication, maintain positive
work relationships, identify the needs of others, provide timely
response and promote teamwork for the common purpose of internal
and external customer service. + Ensure the dignity of individuals
served by treating them with respect and understanding at all
times. + Demonstrate capacity to manage multiple demands; with
flexibility in adapting to new challenges, while maintaining
priorities. + Maintains American Heart Association certification in
First Aid and CPR. + Successfully completes Little City Foundation
required training, re-training, and any additional training as
required by Little City Foundation policies and practices, or as
assigned by his or her immediate supervisor. + Performs job related
duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED
required. One year experience working with individuals with
disabilities, preferred. Previous experience in the following areas
preferred: light janitorial (cleaning), retail, or food service.
Ability to work with and effectively provide direction to people
with disabilities. Ability to build and maintain good relationships
with staff, clients and the community. Good written and verbal
communication skills required. Must be willing and able to work
some evening and weekends when necessary. Comply with Little City
Drivers requirements for the Active Drivers List. PACE
eligibility/certification required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK
ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is subject to sitting for prolonged periods; frequently walks,
stands, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally
stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Extended use of computer and
typing is required. The employee frequently is required to use
manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working
and handling office equipment. The employee is subject to assist
and support up to 25 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a
reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected
vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate
office equipment. No occupational exposure to blood, body fluids,
communicable diseases or other potentially infectious substances
(Category I). Typical office environment. The physical demands
