We design and manufacture the world's leading industrial and IT enclosures, racks, and accessories, including high efficiency, high-density power management, and climate control systems for industrial, data center, outdoor and hybrid applications.The Vice President Channel Sales will design and execute a plan to accelerate and scale our channel sales in the US. The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven track-record designing, developing, and building channel programs. This role is critical to the organization in terms of sales volume or market share growth. You will work in collaboration with the Executives and the Teams in our HQ and GM's to ensure effective execution of company objectives and align with other regionsThe role focus' on driving revenue and client retention by building consultative relationships. Understanding the customer industry and business needs and offer unique and innovative solutions. Work with client to establish a strategic account planning process and agree upon performance objectives. Coordinates internal resources to meet and exceed performance objectives and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • This is a critical role in drive our industrial/electrical and IT enclosures through Channel partners across the US. This position will be responsible for helping define, own, recommend and execute the strategic channel direction for North America
  • Implement go to market growth strategy, action and pricing in focus industries/technologies while managing budget.
  • Develop value propositions to help meet customer needs
  • Establishment of Rittal as a main supplier for selected Channel - Partner
  • Use product configurator to offer our customers the best suited product
  • Expand digital presence in wholesalers
  • Arrangement of a meeting at CEO level
  • Development of business in focus markets
  • Increase and educate on available product portfolio to (E.g. IT & Cooling)
  • Provide local & global support to address the distributor customer needs
  • Ensure strengths of both the distributor and Rittal are known & utilized
  • Implement tools and use resources to increase value add to customers
  • Assist in capturing opportunities through growing digitization trend
  • Continually assess commercial terms nationally.
  • Strengthen national & global sales and marketing support
  • Increase levels of customer support and necessary training
    • Responsible for channel enablement and sales performance with the support of sales teams.
    • Align with cross-functional teams (i.e. Marketing, Sales Operations) to achieve performance channel marketing and demand generation activities through key channel partners
    • Establish methodology for recruitment of key partners and be accountable for channel sales operating metrics and develop committed partners.
    • Work with Sales Operations and Channel Marketing to develop channel incentives and other programs to drive over achievement of sales targets
    • Act as the evangelist for the channel partners to ensure alignment and joint-sales activity within both inside and outside salesKnowledge & Experience:
      • 7+ years of progressive channel management and leadership experience within the industry as well as executive relationships within traditional and new channels such as Dev/Ops
      • 5 years of experience in selling technology-based products within IT, preferably the data center infrastructure environment and electrical
      • Documented track record of success in channel rationalization and strategic planning
        • Experience in owning and setting a sales quota with a track record of high achievement through the partner community
        • Experience and ability to forecast sales on a weekly basis
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills
          • Experience in the software and industrial markets preferred
          • A good communicator and presenter, who possesses strong negotiation skills as well as sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
