based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are
pleased to note that our Chicago office is operating on a hybrid
work model (mix of in-office and remote work).Position Summary:The
Director, HRIS & Benefits performs a wide variety of Human Capital
System (HCM) and leadership activities for 2,000+ employees over a
multi-state workforce. This role continually keeps up-to-date with
people technology trends and consults with HR and senior leaders on
HCM capabilities and efficiencies for all people initiatives.Key
Responsibilities:
- Direct the HRIS/UKG roadmap and optimization strategy aligned
with the company's business and human resource goals that
encompasses the nuances of a fast-paced, multi-state work
environment.
- Consult with HR or TPS leaders to identify HRIS capabilities,
make recommendations for improvements, including alternative
technology, automation, integration, upgrades and
functionality.
- Build enterprise-facing People analytics capabilities, creating
dashboards to monitor key metrics.
- Provide insights and trend analysis to inform strategic
decision-making and organizational planning.
- Work closely with our benefits brokers to build best-in-class
healthcare benefits, including efficient and high touch
administration for our employees.
- Manage and develop a small team of benefits and HRIS
professionals.
- Partner with senior leadership to align People strategies with
broader business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including
finance, IT, legal, and other People leaders, to drive initiatives
forward.
- Develop and quickly deliver HR or Payroll related reports and
analytics to provide insights and support data-driven
decision-making.
- Safeguard data integrity and all relevant data is accurately
captured, secured, appropriately accessible, and maintained in
accordance with all applicable company and regulatory
requirements.
- Manage relationships with HRIS vendors, ensuring the
organization receives optimal service and support.
- First responder troubleshooter for HCM system disruptions,
critical or time-sensitive processes, and gatekeeper for the UKG
ticket submissions.
- Operate as the internal expert for user training, API and SFTP
integration file feeds related to payroll data, retirement, health
insurance providers, and other people projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, including mergers or
acquisition initiatives, while remaining agile to shifting company
priorities.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality pertaining to
employees' personal data and compensation.Knowledge, Skills &
Experience Required:
- 8 to 10 years of solid experience with core database and time
keeping software, specifically UKG Pro and WFM suite
- Knowledge of Microsoft BI dashboard and accounting
principles
- Proficient data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills, including
advanced formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups
- Familiar with state and federal sick leave, tax, and wage
laws

- Ability to manage 1-4 team members to support a growing
workforce of at least 2k employees
- Confidential, organized and able to manage multiple
priorities
- Deep attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to travel on an as-needed basis for acquisitions,
