year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide
exceptional communication support within a school environment in
Des Plaines, IL. This role involves interpreting for students,
staff, and families to facilitate effective communication and
ensure equal access to educational opportunities. The position
requires travel to various school sites, offering dynamic work
settings and diverse interactions. Key Responsibilities: Interpret
spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa to
support students and staff. Facilitate clear communication during
classroom instruction, meetings, and school events. Collaborate
with educators, counselors, and administrators to promote
inclusivity. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical
interpreting standards. Travel between schools as assigned to
provide on-site interpreting services. Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong
interpreting skills. Experience working in educational settings
preferred. Ability to travel between multiple locations during the
workday. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge
of deaf culture and educational terminology is a plus. Location:Des
