Hyla Mobile is a rapidly growing company that provides Mobile Device technologies and services to Wireless Carriers and Consumer Electronics Retailers. Hyla's goal is to transform the wireless ecosystem by enabling Carriers and Retailers to offer smartphone trade-in programs to their consumers. Hyla manages these trade-in programs on behalf of the top brands in the wireless industry, including AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy, Google, and many others. To further our growth, we're building and launching a new mobile Device Protection business (commonly referred to as device insurance) by leveraging key assets of HYLA (e.g. mobile diagnostics, device processing, pricing/analytics, etc.), paired with critical external expertise. With mobile devices being at the forefront of consumer and business users' busy daily lives, as well as the rapidly increasing cost to purchase and repair devices, Device Protection is a multi-billion dollar and growing market in the U.S. Come be at the forefront of next-gen insurance, we're building solutions that leverage the latest marketing and technology - combining Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud AI. The Product Manager is a driver of product innovation and business growth who strives to lead a matrixed team to deliver product excellence. The Product Manager's ability to internalize and articulate the needs of customers/users, plus their business acumen and technical competency, are leveraged to build trust, discipline, and passion across the organization. The Product Manager thrives in collaborative settings by working closely with key stakeholders to define the product vision and roadmap and leads development teams to discover and produce products that deliver customer and business value. Specific Job Responsibilities: A successful Product Manager is looked on as the expert in their product line's customer base and in how value is delivered to and derived from those customers. The Product Manager will drive multiple projects concurrently, be an effective decision-maker, socialize product direction, and work effectively across the organization. You thrive in a self-start environment leading others to accomplish company and product goals through teamwork. You have a technical competency that allows you to effectively communicate with technical teams and can understand the implications regarding the use of specific technologies. Own the overall user experience associated with channels under your management. Become the expert in the customers and users of your product, including spending a meaningful amount of time with them to develop a deep understanding of their needs. Own, lead and socialize the continual evolution of your product's vision and roadmap, ensuring that they meet customer and user needs while also achieving the company's strategic goals. Lead rich discovery processes, including market opportunities, user/customer research, and prototyping to identify, evaluate and define a value proposition, features, and functionality that are valuable, usable and feasible. Grow and refine product backlog by prioritizing short- and long-term value delivery. Collaborate with Development, Design and other team members throughout product definition and project delivery. Define, maintain and internalize product KPIs, using them to measure/report progress and to align product development to business strategy. Assure the success of your products while achieving increased user satisfaction. Work with key stakeholders, taking direction and delegating decision-making as appropriate, but ultimately owning responsibility for decisions within your product line. Bring innovation to bear on the company's product lines and the ability to serve its customers/users. Evaluate partner/competitor activities for opportunity and context. Work with Marketing and Sales to identify and assess opportunities and to test and bring products to the market. Participate in the continued evolution of the product management team and related processes Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager Minimum of 3 years of product management experience at a technology/digital company Experience in the insurance, warranty, managed services, or wireless industry and/or developing and launching B2B SAAS business preferred Experience growing a digital start-up strongly preferred Skills & Competencies : The Product Manager must be an excellent problem solver, creative in their approach and have a keen eye to detail. Critical thinking is a must for this position. In addition: Must have strong communication, organization and project planning skills Must be focused on customer/user needs and experience Must be able to manage business priorities against the needs of customers, users, internal constituents, and business partners Must be able to coherently discuss and differentiate opportunity, value, and revenue Must have the confidence to leverage intuition to translate the unknown opportunity into an actionable plan Must have the ability to be a leader to all parties involved in the product-lifecycle Must have critical thinking skills to quickly make and measure decisions during planning and execution Must be action-oriented, with a bias towards testing, measuring results and iterating for maximum growth efficiency
