Job Description:
Zurich is currently hiring an Executive Assistant II to join the
Life Accident & Health team! The Executive Assistant will support
the Head of Life Accident & Health in scheduling, travel planning,
departmental event coordination, and streamlining administrative
processes. This role will include frequent communication and
interaction with senior-level personnel, Directors, and external
collaborators and contacts to assist with departmental objectives.
Zurich is open to hiring at their Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
This position is a hybrid model that supports a blend of in office
and remote work from the Schaumburg, IL area. An Executive
Assistant II is responsible for a variety of tasks: Under general
supervision, performs moderate and confidential administrative work
for Senior Management. Organizes and prioritizes own assignments to
ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Greets and directs
internal and external customers to the appropriate person(s).
Handles internal customer and employee inquiries. May refer more
complex inquiries and/or complaints to appropriate personnel.
Answers and screens phone calls and responds to simple e-mails for
Senior Management. Composes routine and non-routine correspondences
from brief notes, oral or written instructions. Receives incoming
mails and forwards to appropriate personnel to handle. Controls,
coordinates, and maintains Senior Management, schedules and
coordinates meetings, appointments, and other activities. Does
follow-up work as needed. Maintains supplies, coordinates travel
logistics using the ARIBA procurement tool. Prepares expense
reports and handles payments for expense items. Collaborates with
teammates to ensure accurate and proactive approach to Senior
Management needs. Runs multiple month end reports and distributes
to appropriate team levels. Basic Qualifications: High School
Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the
Administrative area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice
including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience
required in the Administrative area AND Experience planning,
organizing, and scheduling work Preferred Qualifications: Detail
oriented Ability to prioritize Ability to multi-task Strong verbal
and written communication skills Project management skills Advanced
Microsoft Office skills Knowledge of company operations, and
organizational procedures Administrative experience in a
multi-tasked, high-paced, confidential environment As a condition
