Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator
Methodist Hospitals Northlake and Southlake
Gary, Indiana
As a full time, exempt, Clinical Coordinator with CPS Solutions,
LLC at both Methodist Hospitals in Gary and Merrillville, Indiana,
you'll be responsible for leading clinical pharmacy programs and
services at the site level as well as staffing duties. You will
also:
Serve as a clinical resource for the provision of pharmaceutical
care and clinical pharmacy services at both Methodist Hospital
sites.
Build effective relationships with other healthcare professionals
and departments within the hospital and company.
Promote clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical
care through the development of new (or expansion of existing)
pharmacy practice programs, drug therapy policies, and other
programs.
Provides training, education and orientation to various health care
providers regarding medication use and safety.
Precepts pharmacy students on clinical rotations.
Participate and assist the Pharmacy Management in all activities as
assigned including assisting with IV pump management, formulary
management and medication guidelines.
Schedule: This is an exempt 40 hours a week position that will work
a day shift with weekend coverage based on business needs.
Starting Pay: $130,000 - $135,000 annually, (Depending on related
work experience).
About the facility: Methodist is a not-for-profit, community-based
healthcare system. Methodist has two full-service campuses just 14
miles apart. Northlake is the urban campus in Gary while Southlake
Campus in Merrillville is located near one of the Midwest's busiest
retail areas. Combined campus bed capacity is 625 plus nurseries.
Midlake Campus is the outpatient facility in Gary, conveniently
located between the Northlake and Southlake campuses. With the
latest in technology and outstanding services, this hospital system
is the leading healthcare provider in the region. CPS Solutions,
LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day
operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS
Solutions, LLC.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited PharmD program
Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
Completion of a PGY1 OR 2 years recent clinical work experience
working in a hospital setting required
Minimum of one-year experience as a supervisory pharmacist involved
with program development
Demonstrated organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last
12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving
immunity
Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
Hep B3 Series (or declination)
(Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
