Travel Nurse Across America (TNAA) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our dynamic team, helping to bring new lives into the world across diverse settings in the USA. In this role, you will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and hospital staff to provide the highest level of care to mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in various locations, adapting to new environments and teams while consistently delivering compassionate and specialized care. Monitor patient vital signs and heart rate during labor and manage any complications that arise. Administer medications, perform epidurals and monitor their efficacy and safety. Assist in inducing labor and monitor the mother’s response to treatment. Guide and support mothers during the stages of labor and delivery, providing physical and emotional support. Educate and inform the family about the stages of labor, expectations, and infant care post-delivery. Maintain complete and accurate health care records and reports. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for both mother and child. Proficient in fetal monitoring systems and software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to perform effectively in high-stress environments. In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery processes, including emergency response techniques. Medical Insurance Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
