Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Janesville, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,386 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Oncology Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact state Certifications: BLS/CPR certification, Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy (ONS) certification Must-Have: Experience as an RN in an oncology infusion team Description: Looking for an experienced RN for an oncology infusion team. The schedule will be four 10-hour days from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive, holistic nursing care to patients in a clinical setting. Supports the nursing mission, practice values, and strategic plan. May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned, including floating to various units based on identified needs and clinical competency. Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act as required by the care setting. Ensures all documentation is accurate and comprehensive in accordance with established standards of care for documentation. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the patient's individualized needs, as prescribed by the physician or hospital policy. Utilizes available resources to teach and support patient and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutions. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, manages complex situations, and delegates to other staff appropriately. Escalates to the appropriate chain of command as needed. Positively influences the professional and organizational environments and shared governance. Engages in personal development and supports opportunities for continuous learning and growth. Supports and participates in peer review and peer feedback opportunities. Participates in the professional nursing continuum.
