medical surgical or neuro unit - Telemetry experience - Ability to
manage critical care situations Description: Position requires
experience in a Medical Surgical/Neuro setting. The nurse will work
the night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. Call requirements are not
applicable. Weekends are required every other weekend. Occasional
floating to other level 3 units may be necessary. One holiday is
required per contract. The unit primarily handles stroke and AMS
patients along with standard medical cases. A guaranteed hours rate
of 36 hours per week is provided. Candidates must have at least one
year of relevant experience. First-time travelers are accepted.
Candidates must adhere to COVID-19 and Flu vaccine requirements.
Charting will be done using the Cerner system. Patient ratios at
night are 5 patients per nurse. Daily census ranges around 19
patients in a 20-bed unit. Interdisciplinary support is available
including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. The
focus will be on stroke, renal failure, hemodialysis management,
and general telemetry. The nursing role may require the management
of invasive devices such as PICC lines and central lines.
Candidates should possess skills in code response and dysrhythmia
management. The nurse will be working in an environment that values
professional conduct and accountability. Travel candidates should
be aware of the importance of maintaining a professional demeanor
