Job Description Job Description Sterile Processing Technician PAY RATE: $26.60/hr to $28.35/hr Location: Elmhurst, IL Duration: 3 Months Contract to Permanent Shift Options: 1. 1st Shift – 6am-230pm 2. 2nd Shift – 2pm-1030pm 3. 3rd Shift – 11pm-730am Responsibilities Include: - Follow all ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company Work Instructions. - Decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols. - Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required. - Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines. - Operate washers, sterilisers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively. - Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging. - Document missing or damaged instruments per SOPs. - Maintain accurate and timely records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory levels. - Handle all instruments and customer-owned items with care to prevent damage. - Perform daily computer tasks and paperwork related to processing and tracking. - Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels. - Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment. - Keep workstations and decontamination areas clean and organized. - Adhere to company quality standards and infection control procedures. - Communicate effectively with internal team members, operations personnel, and distribution staff. - Provide feedback and suggest improvements to workflow and procedures. - Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certifications and competencies. - Perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Skills & Certifications: - 2 Years of Exp. - CRCST - BLS
