Job Description Job Description OVERVIEW - Specialty: Sonographer –with OB specialty - Duration: Ongoing - Experience in transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound is a must - § P.T. & F.T. hours available - § Shift: flexible Monday-Thursday, possible evenings - § Spanish speaking a PLUS, but not required - § Employment Type: Staff or 1099 Independent Contractor PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - § Certified Sonographer, preferably ADRMS certified - § OB specialty – two years scanning experience preferred, but will consider less - § Strong imaging skills - § Current CPR certification - § Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills - § Ability to work collaboratively - § Competent administrative abilities associated with the position such as computer use, email, apps, data entry, etc. - § Nonprofit experience and/or exposure to life-affirming medical ministry a plus, but not required RESPONSIBILITIES - § Provide diagnostic imaging per physician’s standing orders - § Equip patient exam room for use - § Follow protocols related to use, care and sanitation of equipment and room - § Accurately chart ultrasound results and prepare for doctor’s review - § Review/follow up for appropriate signatures and doctor’s instructions - § Alert supervisor of malfunctioning equipment or other needs EXPECTATIONS - § A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and is a participant in a local church - § Agreement with the basic premise of the Hippocratic Oath and using your profession to improve the quality of medical care and do no harm to patients served - § Respect for and adherence to SPC’s Christian foundation and its adherence to biblical principles - § Must be able to profess a personal life-affirming stance and agree to never refer for abortion or abortifacients - § Demonstrate sensitivity and compassion toward all patients, especially abortion-determined women - § Embrace “the golden rule” of treating people the way you yourself want to be treated - § Exhibit a high level of professionalism and ethical standards - § Comply with the policies and procedures of the clinic and SPC’s ministry - § Adhere to the clinic’s “woman-focused” methodology - § Comply with CME/CMU standards for Sonographers Company Description Southside Women's Services provides life-affirming care for women by offering medical pregnancy diagnostics and education in a judgement-free, safe environment, at no cost to our patients.
