Job Description:

We design and manufacture the worlds leading industrial and IT enclosures, racks, and accessories, including high efficiency, high-density power management, and climate control systems for industrial, data center, outdoor and hybrid applications.
As the Technical Support Specialist, you will provide support to our customers and internal team members for product applications and identification. Youll be responsible for phone, chat and email support of all technical inquiries. Communicate any issues, problems, or additional information to managers and team members and recommend solutions. Assist in the development of technical documents and training of team members.
You will contribute by:

  • Respond effectively and quickly to Clients, Sales and team members on requests for assistance.
  • Collaborate with Clients, Sales and Customer Service to identify product and propose product solutions to fit client expectations.
  • Provide assistance on navigating Rittal websites and tools.
  • Support creation of technical documentation.
  • Interface with a cross functional team as relating to technical issues or challenges.
  • Assess, evaluate, and foresee potential risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Communicate known deficiencies to team to improve product portfolio and documentation.
  • Apply Advance product knowledge and knowledge of manufacturing capabilities to assist in quoting effective solutions for customer and Rittal.
  • Participate in Training to gain and maintain a high level of knowledge on products, selling skills, customer relationship skills and others as needed.
  • Create and conduct training programs for the Customer Engagement team and other team members.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal Technical Support resources.
  • Participate in trade shows and onsite/offsite customer visits.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
    What we are looking for is:
    • 4 year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
    • 3 years experience in interacting with customers directly
    • Self-starter with strong business acumen, highly organized, critical thinker with strong affinity and attention to detail, great sense of urgency with the ability to analyze data.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple activities and meeting established goals in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Outstanding writing and editing skills with a track record of clear and concise communication.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team-oriented atmosphere.
    • Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, or Visio is preferred.
