investors.What the Tech Database Systems Team Does...
The Tech Database System team has responsibility for the support
and maintenance of our open system database platforms to meet the
needs of the firm.--- The team is responsible for database
platforms that include Oracle and Hadoop as well as the research
and implementation of emerging database technologies.
What You'll Do---
As a Database Systems Administrator, you will primarily be
responsible for the design, development, implementation, and
support for Oracle database systems as well as the Oracle Big Data
Appliance running Hadoop.--- In addition, you will contribute to
the development and configuration of new features to enhance all of
our supported platforms.
---Ensures acceptable Oracle database availability and response
time by leading problem diagnosis and resolution in a high
availability multi-datacenter environment. Provides technical
leadership and support to peers, leaders, and project teams.
Researches emerging database technologies and trends to understand
future direction of database technology. Configure and install
business-critical databases based on business requirements gathered
from application development teams and business users. Ensures
compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements.
Provide DBA support for complex software installation and
maintenance, including major upgrades. Proficient in
evaluating---and recommending software and hardware solutions,
gathering opinions and reaching consensus from a wide audience of
stakeholders. Understanding of and commitment to protecting the
integrity, security and privacy of the firm's critical business
data. Support data replication, backup, and availability solutions.
Provides after-hours and weekend support and participates---in
on-call rotation (24X7). Bachelor's degree in Computer Information
Systems, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Looking
for Strong Oracle knowledge with some Hadoop knowledge or passion
to learn Hadoop. Minimum of 5 years of experience with one or more
of the following Database tools, such as: SQL Developer, OEM /
Grid, Toad, Foglight database monitoring tool. Physical and logical
replication, examples include: disk-level replication, Quest
Shareplex or Oracle Data Guard Minimum of 5 years of experience
with more than one of the following: Linux, up to the current
release of Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle ASM, life cycle
methodologies. Experience with automating Oracle functions using
some or all of the following: Bash, Python or Ansible Knowledge
about NoSQL databases like MONGO etc. a plus Knowledge of DBaaS,
cloud technology a plus. Knowledge of DevOps for Database a plus.

Ability to make or review decisions on problems with high
visibility, and high risk to the firm Excellent written and verbal
communication skills, including the ability to explain complex
technical issues in business terms Excellent
relationship-management, organizational, communication, time

this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on
skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a
potential new associate:
