Job Description:

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks an Application Developer III to work with Sr. Developers and peers to analyze customers' needs and design, document, test and develop software according to installation standards, procedures, and conventions, to deliver solutions which meet business requirements. Specific duties include: work with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of application following AGILE methodology; design and develop web applications and REST APIs using Microsoft technologies; take responsibility for application Build and Release process which includes Code Compilation, Packaging, Security Scanning and code quality scanning, Deployment Methodology and Application Configurations; work with business users to understand the business needs and requirements and prepare documents; and create and configure dependency injection and IoC (Inversion of Control) rules for interfaces and classes using Unity Container. Option to work remotely. Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Professional 2 Project Management, or similar web based application development position. Must have 5 years of experience in web-based dot net application development. Must also have 3 years of experience in PolicyCenter Integration and Configuration, including 3 years with each of the following: designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining SQL database scripting and performance tuning; writing business rules and other business logic; configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions; and developing Plugin and Custom batch components in the enterprise database. Additionally, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: cloud automation using DevOps, Jenkins to build automation, monitoring and operations, and log management; developing front-end systems with Angular, JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, MVC frameworks as a platform for Web applications; designing and developing web services with SOAP, REST and JSON using dot net framework; and SOAP over Message Queues and implementing features including Security, Debugging and Performance.
