Job Description:
Job Description Job Description The Truck Driver safely operates
trucks on the installation or within a city or
distribution/industrial area transporting material and equipment
between various types of establishments such as: warehouses, piers,
wholesale and retail establishments, or designated local delivery
locations based on established schedules. Loads and unloads truck
with or without helpers, performs daily maintenance and safety
checks on the vehicle and ensures the vehicle is in good working
order. Pay Rate: 27.05 $5.36 per hour (does not include overtime)
for fringe benefits. Monday-Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm with Saturdays
as needed. Duties: - Loads and unloads truck with or without
helpers, performs daily maintenance and safety checks on the
vehicle and ensures the vehicle is in good working order. - Backing
of 48 and 53 foot trailers to dock doors and yard spots -
Responsible for understanding site local delivery and
transportation route plan. - Ability to communicate in a
professional manner with co-workers, site regarding service and
transportation support at the Distribution Center. - preform other
duties as assigned. - Understand and meet established productivity
and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area
I process. - Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day
routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating - Procedures
(SOPs)/Job Breakdown sheets (JBS), Technical Manuals, and Audit
Readiness standards. - Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels
(APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process
and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals. - Adhere
to Government and Company policies and procedures. - Responsive
communication with the Inventory, Customer Service, and Quality
Control teams regarding any system discrepancies that cannot be
resolved. - Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate
workload tasks and information. - Ability to communicate in a
professional manner with co-workers, site management, and Customers
regarding service and transportation support at the Distribution
Center. - Maintain a safe and secure work environment to include
vehicle safety and security measures. - Responsible for
understanding site local delivery and transportation route plan -
Perform other duties as assigned in association with established
Management and Contract Compliance Plan, Storage Plan and workload
requirements. SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Possess a valid
Driver's License 2. Security Clearance required for both Medium and
Tractor-Trailer Drivers 3. Fluent in speaking, reading and writing
the English language. MISCELLANEIOUS / OTHER: Ability to stand,
squat, and have full range of motion, wear Personal Protection
Equipment (PPE) as needed for job duties, lift at least 40 pounds,
operate a forklift in accordance with a training certification
program, and see, hear and respond to dangerous situations.
