Job Description:

As a Night Selector at US Foods, you are at the heart of our operations and play a crucial role in the effective distribution of our products to our valued customers across the country. Your primary responsibility is to accurately and efficiently select and prepare products for shipment while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work overnight shifts in a dynamic warehousing setting. Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to move products throughout the warehouse. Pick orders accurately according to digital or paper pick lists. Stage and organize selected products for shipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and storage procedures. Check and verify order accuracy and report any discrepancies. Assist in inventory counts and warehouse maintenance. Follow food safety and handling standards and warehouse compliance regulations. Ability to operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Strong organizational and time management skills. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and remain on feet for extended periods. Detail-oriented with an aptitude for maintaining accurate count records. Effective communication skills for a collaborative team environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Life Insurance Forklift certification preferred but can be provided by the company upon hiring. Food safety handling certification is a plus.
