We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist to manage inbound and outbound logistics in a fast-paced printing and fulfillment environment. Position Overview The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate receipt, tracking, packaging, and shipment of printed and finished goods. This role requires hands-on experience with shipping systems, strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of fulfillment workflows within the printing industry. Key Responsibilities - Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials, paper, and finished goods. - Prepare and ship outbound orders, ensuring accuracy, proper packaging, and compliance with customer specifications. - Import shipment data into FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip; generate shipping labels, packing slips, and documentation. - Coordinate shipments including ground, air, LTL, and multi-location drop shipments. - Support fulfillment operations such as kitting, labeling, packaging, and staging for shipment. - Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. - Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. - Communicate shipment status and issues with production, customer service, and sales teams. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. - Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to shipping efficiency and cost control. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience - Extensive experience in shipping and receiving within the printing and fulfillment industry. - Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including data entry and basic reporting. - Experience importing data into FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip. - Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse best practices. - High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a production environment. Preferred Skills - Experience with MIS or ERP systems. - Familiarity with USPS shipping and mailing requirements. - Forklift or pallet jack experience (certification a plus). - Knowledge of packaging standards for printed materials and luxury products.
