The Associate Director is integral to helping the team deliver online learning experiences that meet or exceed partner expectations, industry quality standards, and accessibility guidelines. This is the ideal role for an experienced Instructional Design professional with direct team management experience as well as in-depth development, production, and client management experience.ResponsibilitiesOversee design, development, and production of high-quality innovative online courses in collaboration with department leadershipMotivate a creative team of high performing, multi-disciplinary Instructional DesignersExecute departmental priorities and support direct reports to develop professionallyDevelop training and professional development opportunities and lead team meetings as requestedIdentify and communicate departmental needs and strategize collaboratively to address those needsCommunicate effectively across a team to manage deadlines and project budgetsProactively address delays and escalations and communicate these to the Director of Instructional DesignPerform regular review of Keypath courses to monitor and evaluate course quality and accessibility and ensure the appropriate rigor and andragogyPromotes appropriate and successful use of KP tools and custom interactive objectsSupport the business units in new program launches and establish co-ownership and responsibilities for process and quality expectations during new partner launchWork closely with university partners and foster effective relationships between the instructional design team and university-appointed faculty, SMEs, academics and address partner concerns and escalations effectively and work collaboratively to seek resolutions.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams about course development and external stakeholders and quality standards to help ensure client satisfaction and drive student retention.Work with the Director of Instructional Design to complete resource allocationCollaborate with the SIDs in the creation and maintenance of materials for the term kick-off process and new partner launches; run internal and external trainings and workshops as neededWork with the Director of Academic Quality and Engagement in the creation of faculty training materials and other ad hoc faculty engagement initiativesProvide knowledge and expertise in instructional design, and remain current with best practicesQualifications The ideal candidate will be committed to Keypath's core values and the creation of robust online course experiences and is Available and able to lead a team of instructional designers and facilitate partner relationships in Keypath's North American region, during North American business hoursPreviously successful in a senior role in instructional design and experienced delivering engaging, high quality online programs at scale with an exquisite attention to detailSkilled at meeting deadlines, adapting to constant change, and managing complex projectsComfortable doing instructional design work and managing a small instructional design teamMotivated to inspire and manage direct reports with consistency and fairnessHighly skilled as a communicator (both verbal and written), with the ability to interact and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels including administration, academics, technology, and production teamsCommitted to designing and delivering online accessibility and to reduce barriers to learningCurious about new tools and techniques for engaging learners and demonstrating outcomesRespected team player, capable of making sound decisions, adaptable and open to solving problems proactively and creatively with good humor, even under pressureA life-long learner passionate about collaborating to create and improve online learning Accountability Number of employees supervised: Direct: up to 10 North American employees Qualifications: Education : Master's degree required.
