The Executive Liability Division is searching for an Administrative Assistant who will provide administrative support to the Claims Department and develop the specialized skills and knowledge related to processing of claims. This position is located in our Schaumburg, IL office. ResponsibilitiesLearns to perform claims processing and payment functions on basic claims for one or more lines. Performs claims support functionsComposes, prepares, reviews and responds to correspondenceAnswers and responds to inquiries and gathers informationMay perform mail / file functions. Utilizes the company system(s) to identify the appropriate recipient of correspondence within or outside of the company. Sorts and distributes mailMaintains / purges documents according to record retention guidelines and distributes files / file systemsPerforms general processing, may include updating manualsMay assist with claims numbers, claims setup and entry, electronic imaging or indexing, statistical coverage verification, preparation / entry of claims transactions, preparation / processing recovery and processing drafts and formsMay perform systems functions, including determining errors / corrections on claims system(s) and / or policiesPrepares, orders and maintains records, reports, registers and schedulesUpdates claims files and maintains, corrects and / or updates data using office technologyPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications2 or more years of related secretarial experienceBasic to intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to proofread and edit letters for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errorsAbility to comprehend and pay invoicesAccurate data entry skillsAttention to detail with the ability to multi-taskStrong organizational skillsTeam player who is customer service oriented and willing to assist othersStrong verbal and written communication skillsJob title and grade will depend on the successful applicant''s level of Jobble
