We are looking for a Customer Service Representative for our Schaumburg office.

  • Recommend replacement products or services based on customer requirements
  • Manage large amounts of calls, emails, and daily
  • Identify sales leads and hand off to sales team or partner per established rules and processes
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Meet individual/team goals consistently
  • Gather new customer account information to process set up of new or existing accounts
  • Keep records of customer interactions and ensure proper pro-active follow-ups occur
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers
  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail or social media determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling
  • Support new online individual account set up and along with trouble shooting issues.
  • Advise on company information
  • Take pertinent information to support our customer needs
  • Answer questions about warranties, terms of sale, and shipping information
  • Coordinate customer issues acting as the liaison with Rittal internal teams
  • Identify and assess customers needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Proactively communicate with sales team and distributors of customer concerns or issues
  • Inform customer of promotions or changes in company policies.
  • Utilize computer technology to manage daily tasks.
  • Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
  • Thinks outside the box to resolve customer issues and create a solution

Knowledge & Experience:

Associates degree in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred; three to five years experience working for a manufacturer and seller of industrial products. Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Access; experience with SAP and AutoCAD is preferred
