Candidate Support CoordinatorThis is a hybrid role which can be based in the Schaumburg or downtown Chicago office. The Candidate Support Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) requirement, a key component the SOA's Education system. The individual in this role is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the process to approve university and other courses, and completes work within our database to keep the approved list up to date. The coordinator confirms transcripts from candidates seeking to receive credit for these courses, enters the credit in the database and responds to related inquiries. The position reports to the Director, Professionalism and University Relations and assists the Director with Education communications and supports the Candidate Code of Conduct infraction process. In addition, the coordinator reports to the Registrar on specific tasks related to candidate discipline cases and the defective question process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordination of VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) Requirement Manages VEE course approval processResponds to all correspondence regarding VEE course approvalsActs as liaison between applicants, universities and VEE independent reviewers to maintain continuous cycle of review, approval and communication of approved coursesMaintains directory of approved courses and other educational experiences in Personify database for web publicationAdministers annual renewal process for expiring approved coursesEnsures VEE independent reviewers are compensated appropriately and in a timely mannerCoordinates annual review and approval of VEE independent reviewer contractsManages VEE candidate credit processEvaluates VEE candidate credit applications and approves credits based on transcripts providedCommunicates VEE credit status to candidatesResponds to all candidate inquiries regarding their VEE credit orders Assists customer service with any candidate credit discrepanciesMaintains and updates VEE web pageKeeps all information current and submits any updates to the web teamAssists University Programs teamHelps in expediting all VEE course approvals for both CAE and U-CAP schools and coordinates with team on any issuesAssists as needed with university outreach meetings to help clarify questions around the VEE program.Provides staff support to the VEE Administration Committee Coordination/Support for Candidates Raising Exam/Assessment IssuesProvides information and explains SOA policies, procedures or regulations as applicable to the candidate's specific situation or concern. Counsels candidates as to the appropriate courses of action available to them. Acts to ensure candidates receive fair and equitable treatment. When appropriate, investigates specific problems of individual candidates.Coordinates Education Department resources in response to complex candidate issues (e.g. exam/assessment performance, defective questions, irregularities or other related concerns). Makes initial judgment as to validity of concerns and responds directly, under Registrar's supervision, to the more routine inquiries.Originates and monitors process for investigating reports of defective questions. Distributes information to exam officers and staff for review. Initiates investigations into reports of examination irregularities. Confers with supervisors and proctors to obtain all significant details of incidents of suspected cheating and other rule infractions. Writes initial report of each case to be investigated. Presents case(s), and recommendation(s) to Education staff leadership to bring resolutionKeeps candidates informed as to progress and follows up as necessary.Communicates decision/action to candidatesMaintains record of candidate interactions and shepherds issues to successful resolution Provide Support for Education Related CommunicationsAssists with any incoming cases regarding the Candidate Code of Conduct. Gathers information to present case(s) to Education Panel to effect resolution and inform candidate(s) involved of decision/actions Assists in promoting effective communication with all stakeholders regarding Education; web site; Education articles; announcements of new or modified initiatives/policies/rules. Reviews communication vehicles for accuracy in face of changes and identifies problem areas. Helps to ensure timely and effective communication with candidates is being affected.Coordinates with MARCOM/Education staff members to ensure candidate communications are consistent with the objectives of current Education initiatives. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered) Minimum of an Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an association, university or educational/training environment.
