Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitors daily activities
of Quality Control Technicians.Assists in the training of Quality
Assurance employees.Performs HOLD inventory when necessary. Has the
authority to place any raw material, packaging, or finished product
on HOLD that does not comply with specifications. Notifies
Production QA Supervisor immediately.Monitors the facility for
compliance with GMP's.Ensures that products are being produced
within specifications. Documents corrective action if
required.Collects samples for shipment to customers.Assists with
disposal of damaged finished product or raw materials and
documentation.Uses the Ross System for addition and/or removal of
HOLD Inventory.Reviews pre-op inspections, daily paperwork, and
shipping recordsMaintains pre-operational deficiency database and
prepares monthly pre-operational deficiency report.Assists the QA
Supervisor to prepare daily paperwork submission to Docuware and
verifies documents scanned.Participates in sensory training and
evaluation to help ensure the highest quality of our
products.Performs Lockout/Tagout as required.Ensures proper
communication on pre-ops and changeovers between shifts.Confers
with other Leads to coordinate activities of individual
departments.Performs all Quality Assurance functions within each
department.Maintains and monitors cleanliness of employees' working
area.Monitors employee's adherence to company rules and policies
and recommends necessary corrective action to the Supervisor if
needed.Assists in reviewing and maintaining crewing levels and
optimizing to meet or surpass NPF cost targets.Suggests ways to
control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.Ensures
that all work activities are performed with attention to the
highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all
appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on
continuous improvement.Ensures that all Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP's) are followed.Follows all company policies &
procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing
Practices).Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an
accident-free work place.Reports any unsafe or hazardous work
conditions or safety-related issues to Management.Accomplishes all
tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.Education, Skills and
experience:EducationHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent.Previous
USDA and food manufacturing experience is preferred.Skills and
Experience:Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating
shifts.Three to six months related experience and/or training or
equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to
speak, write and understand English.Good interpersonal, written and
oral communications skills.Ability to communicate and work
effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the
plant.Ability to establish trust and credibility with
employees.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety
rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures
manuals.Ability to write standard information into related
paperwork.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals.Ability to effectively present information to
management.Knowledge of Microsoft applications.Bilingual
(English/Spanish) is a plus.Ability to thrive in a constantly

duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a plant
production environment. The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job in the
plant, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical
parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles.
Employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures that
range from below zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit to over ninety (90)
degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate to loud. While in the plant, the employee is
required to utilize the required personal protective
