Description
NMI is looking for a people focused and detail oriented person to join our team as a People and Culture Coordinator! As a People and Culture Coordinator you will be responsible for wearing multiple hats across the People team. This will include owning the onboarding process, benefits administration projects and coordinating People related transactions. This is a hybrid position that would require a candidate to spend 1-2 days per week in our Schaumburg office.
In this role, you will:

  • Handle general HR tasks, such as updating employee information in various HR systems and working regularly with benefit broker, payroll, employees and providers
  • Serve as the point person for US new hire onboarding. Facilitate background checks, verifications, manages onboarding and offboarding flows, runs exit interviews, organizes reports and related surveys
  • Prepares and updates reports per request
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Coordinate people-related transactions such as data integrity, time off, benefits, reporting, communications, Intranet, and employee experience programs
  • Assist with office related tasks and projects
    Requirements
    What we are hoping you will bring to the NMI team:
    • 2-3 years of experience in Administration or Human Resources
    • Able to come into the office on a weekly basis
    • Enjoyment in creating relevant and meaningful programs and experiences for people
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, working well with team members at all levels
    • Strong track record of solid communication and follow-ups
    • You act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Exceptional organizational skills and possess a great attention to detail with a knack for accuracy and creative problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point) and G-suite
    • Experience working with ADP Workforce now or similar providers (would be a big plus)
