You will be in charge of taking drink orders, recommending beer and wine, preparing traditional and unique mixed drinks, and maintaining the bar area so it is clean and sanitary at all times. If you are a professional who thrives in a busy work environment that provides great customer service, apply today!Responsibilities Properly identify customers' age through identification cards, and serve alcoholic beverages following all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks Responsible for inventory, ordering and stocking of all wine, liquor, and beer. Maintains an inventory of glassware and promptly communicates any shortages to management. Qualifications Previous experience working in food service is preferred Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) Proven customer service experience with a strong patron-focused mentality Outstanding time management and organizational skills Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Compensation $9 an hour plus tips About Marriott SchaumburgMarriott Schaumburg is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and boasts easy access to the highway for quick drives to downtown Chicago or O'Hare International Airport.
