The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg is an upscale hotel located across from the Woodfield Mall and just 15 minutes from O'Hare. The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg was recently renovated to satisfy a discerning clientele who share a common need for value without sacrifice.

An integral part of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg's success will be attributed to this position with a hands on approach to guest satisfaction and service team stewardship that will dictate first and lasting impressions people have of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time House person.

POSITION PURPOSE: Clean, maintain, and supply assigned areas according to established standards of cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by responding and completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously
* Stock all linen closets with proper inventory
* Ensure the guest corridor floors are kept clean and free of debris at all times.
* Remove all trash and linen from Housekeepers' carts and closets throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
* Promptly respond to all guest requests in a courteous manner.
* Deliver clean linens to and from guest floors in response to occupancy.
* Remove all garbage, cots, cribs and dishware from the guest floors.
* Keep closets and storage area stocked with daily supplies.
* Maintain all equipment in safe, clean condition.
* Take responsibility for all chemicals and equipment assigned.
* Carry out specialized cleaning projects to approved level of competency and productivity, such as carpet and upholstery cleaning, windows and ice machine cleaning etc.
* Assist with all general cleaning and rehabilitation projects, as directed
* Report all floor/carpet care needs to the housekeeping office.
* Report all repair needs to the housekeeping management.
* Participate in the promotion of safety and security in assigned work area.
* Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates, as directed.
* Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner
* Follow appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance.
* Represent the Hotel with professionalism and decorum.
* Attend all required Housekeeping Department and other meetings.
* Sweep and mops back landings, stairwells, and closets regularly.
* Ensure the guest corridor is kept clean and free of debris.
* Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to use all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
* Physical stamina to complete manual labor tasks.
* Ability to work under pressure and varied shifts.
* Basic English communication skills preferred.
