Fresh For Less is seeking multiple part-time experienced Team Leads for a family-owned grocery store! The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service, organizational skills, communication and leadership skills, be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other related software, and be detail-oriented.We are a locally owned full-service grocery store. We pride ourselves on great customer service, community connection, acting with integrity and respect, and always being ready to serve, adapt, learn, and grow.Pay based on experienceDuties Overview:Oversees the frontline in the absence of the Front-End Manager. Coaches, teaches, and develops all frontline team members to ensure excellent member service. The Team Lead teaches, develops, and motivates all team members for the successful execution of customer programs and initiatives as well as frontline operations. The Team Lead is responsible for monitoring, driving, and coaching for desired membership/member experience goals and results. Ensures that all customer orders/requests are processed in a positive, timely, and efficient manner. The Team Lead delegates work, monitors staffing, and compliance with operational standards. Provides excellent customer service to our customers and staff.Primary Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Interact with customers, vendors, and team members in person, in writing, and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handle office administration tasks when directed in the absence of the Office Manager and Front End Manager (mail, ordering supplies, filing, etc.).
  • Run office errands as needed; bank deposits, attend off-site meetings, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records related to cash transactions.
  • Adhere to and enforce the company's policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Train and supervise cashiers on money handling, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cash office environment.
  • Assist team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Assist in supervising the front-end staff in the absence of the Front End Manager.
  • Model and provide excellent customer service while coaching, teaching, and developing team members to do the same.
  • Quickly identify and solve customer problems.
  • Drive member engagement, speed, and productivity on the front end.Trains, coaches, motivates, recognizes, and provides input on evaluation of frontline Team Members on tasks, responsibilities, and expectations defined by position, including customer engagement, service, and Loss Prevention metrics.Performs front end responsibilities including but not limited to closing through POS and customer escalated service issues.Act with a sense of urgency to ensure customers are assisted in a timely and efficient manner. Provide accurate information about products and services.
    • Act as a backup for cashiers and baggers when needed.Scan merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals for customers. Load shopping carts when necessary.Manage self-checkout lanes and assist customers with operations and technical difficulties.Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from customers. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.Stay up-to-date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information. Discounts purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons. Suggest products or services that best meet the customer's needs.
      • Supervise the cleanliness of the front end customer servicing areas.
      • Ability to navigate within system applications.
      • Maintain all company policies and procedures.
      • Exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision-making through knowledge and utilization of business data.
      • Communicate effectively; provide the information teams require to be successful.
      • Build high-performing teams by creating a culture of collaboration. Provide honest and timely direction, follow up, and feedback that will drive business results and support team member engagement.
      • Deliver results; execute business expectations within expected timeframes by setting clear expectations, utilizing follow up and accountability.
      • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
      • Teach, coach, and lead through the company level training process. Support team member engagement within all areas of responsibility to enable the application of policies, procedures, and compliance.
      • Drive a culture of development, strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and engagement. Lead with the team member and customer in mind to address any and all concerns and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate.
      • Ensure a safe and positive environment and experience for the team members.

          • Prior leadership experience preferred.
          • Prior customer service or sales knowledge and experience preferred.
          • Basic math skills required.
          • Communication: Be able to clearly and patiently convey information.
          • Empathy: Understand and relate to customers' feelings and situations.
          • Problem-solving: Be able to quickly identify issues and develop solutions.
          • Patience: Remain calm and patient when dealing with frustrated or upset customers.
          • Technical proficiency: Be familiar with the company's products and services, and basic office software.
          • Time management: Be able to manage multiple tasks and conversations simultaneously.
          • Attention to detail: Ensure accurate record-keeping and relay precise information to customers.
          • Adaptability: Be able to adapt to changing processes, products, and customer needs.Environmental Job Conditions:
            • Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There may be a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping.
            • Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance.
            • Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.Schedule: Part-time; Days off may vary according to business needs.Requirements:
              • High school or equivalent (Required).
              • Bookkeeping/accounting experience and/or cash management or a related field.
              • Experience with Microsoft Office (Must be skilled in Excel).
              • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
              • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
              • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
              • Attention to detail and accuracy.
              • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.Physical Demands:
                • Standing for extended periods of time.
                • Bending, lifting, and reaching.
