SD, Nampa, ID, and Traverse City, MI. Job Description Summary The
Marketing organization is responsible for developing the long-term
strategy for the brand, building differentiated market positioning,
developing superior brand mixes, as well as developing and
executing integrated marketing plans. Specifically, brand
management defines the brand’s pricing, packaging, advertising and
promotion strategies and is responsible for P&L management in
delivering profit, volume and market share objectives. The
Associate Brand Manager will report directly to the Brand Manager
and assist in managing the brand and its sub-lines. The Associate
Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the planning,
execution and analysis of various business initiatives. This role
will gain broad exposure to all functional activities on the
brand’s business (including but not limited to Consumer Insights,
New Products, Sales, Operations, and Finance). Essential Duties and
Responsibilities - Marketing Planning and Execution: supports the
development and execution of brand strategies. Assists in creation
and implementation of marketing campaigns including partnering with
cross functional teams and agencies to execute in market. -
Business Management and Analysis: uses POS, consumer panel and
shipment data, sales performance, and financial analysis to
understand key business metrics; reports and makes recommendations
to improve performance. - Packaging: oversees execution of changes
to base product and promotional packaging as needed - Program
Evaluation: measures marketing program effectiveness with an ROI
lens and makes optimization recommendations. - Commercialization
Management: leads innovation and renovation commercialization and
launches; includes leading the project through the stage gate
process, ensuring a successful launch, and performing post-launch
analysis. - Project Management: manages project timelines, budgets,
and deliverables to ensure campaigns are on track and objectives
are met. - Shopper Marketing: partners with commerce marketing and
sales teams to brief, develop and execute shopper marketing
programs during key drive periods. - Digital Marketing (ecommerce)
& Social: Partners with commerce marketing team and agency to
optimize ecommerce communication strategy and execution. Optimizes
brand social strategies and execution in partnership with brand and
social teams. - Sell Story Creation: uses data to tell a story to
sell in brand innovation, renovation and activation across the
organization and with our customers. - Budget Management: manages
brand budget. Works with finance to maintain accuracy of budget and
expenditures to meet financial expectations; including PO and
invoice processing as well as tracking and forecasting.
Qualifications and Competencies - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
required with 2 years of relevant marketing experience (CPG
Preferred) - MBA (marketing concentration a plus) Specific
Competencies Required - Must have expertise in data analysis
(Nielsen/IRI preferred); translating data into insights,
demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and strategic thinking
skills. - Must be intellectually curious and creative thinker who
is passionate about brand building. - Must be an independent and
proactive contributor that can excel in changing and ambiguous
situations. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment - Demonstrate learning agility through
on-the-job experience, formal and informal mentoring, and classroom
training. - Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing)
concisely and effectively within senior leaders, marketing
teammates and cross-functional and agency partners. Performance
Expectations - Quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and
ownership of work performed. - Ability to gain the trust and
respect of leadership, coworkers, vendors, and agency partners. -
Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product
information. - Develop good working relationships with other
employees is essential to accomplish goals and objectives of the
department. Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an
office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular
business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will
be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines
and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required. The physical
