Zurich North America has an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst Specializing in Data Visualization. We are open to hiring at our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL & open to providing relocation benefits. While this position will be based out of our North American Headquarters in Schuamburg, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, our customers and the team. The Data Visualization Actuarial Analyst is a unique Actuarial role in that we are looking for an Actuary who is interested the traditional mathematical and data analysis duties, but also enjoys the challenge of creating visually stunning dashboards. The Data Visualization Actuarial Analyst must excel in three different areas: superior in the areas of data analysis, the creativity to tell a story through pictures and graphics, and the ability to interface at the highest levels of the North American organization. Acts in an actuarial capacity while in pursuit of an actuarial qualification, performing duties which are of a mathematical and/or financial nature, in order to provide highly accurate data and analyses for use by Actuaries in the evaluation of reserves, financial reporting or the pricing of business. Train less experienced personnel. Basic Qualifications: Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 2 or more years technical/insurance experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 3.0 cumulative GPA and No prior experience required in the Actuarial area AND Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry experience Programming skills with knowledge and experience with VBA, SQL, R, SAS, and/or Python Coding experience Tableau or Power BI experience As a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to our COVID-related health and safety protocols (https://www.zurichna.com/careers/faq), including, without limitation, a requirement that employees attest as to their vaccination status with a YES/NO, and upload proof of vaccination status, or negative COVID test results when allowable, to a third-party vendor.
