Digital AnalystThis is a hybrid role which can be based in our Schaumburg or downtown Chicago office.Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Manager of Digital Experience and in collaboration with other teammates, you will provide strategic insights and analytical skills to support the development and implementation of our Digital Strategy. ResponsibilitiesExecute Projects

  • Assist the Web Developers in designing, coding, and maintaining the SOA digital properties (including websites, microsites, and apps).
  • Execute (individually or in a team) simple-to-medium fixes on the website, including updating content, resolving technical issues, performing manual website processes, and designing and creating new elements and pages as needed.
  • Manage timelines and requirements, identify possible issues, and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to manage risk, improve processes, and find operational efficiencies.Quality Assurance/Testing
    • Design and develop unit test for complex validation checks, rules, workflow customizations, and reports.
    • Confirm website features align with requirements.
    • Build, lead, and deliver test plans, estimates, and hands on testing in digital properties (websites and apps) and related applications.
    • Assist with new feature testing.Documentation
      • Develop, write, revise, maintain and update Digital team documentation, including written website content and team process documentation.
      • Follow step-by-step instructions to test and enhance documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and other Digital team documentation.Reporting
        • Provision ad-hoc information requests and analysis as deemed necessary - working closely with the broader Digital team.
        • Analyze data on an ad hoc basis and provide support where needed.
        • Develop and maintain recurring views of operational, project, and/or performance metrics.Triage and Communications
          • Communicate with the requestor of website changes to gather the required information; set up a ticket in the ticketing system to be completed.
          • Identify duplicate requests/issues/bugs.
          • Confirm and verify the steps to recreate identified issues.
          • Use analytical thinking skills to determine the nature/severity of the request and identify the appropriate owner for the change based on relevant criteria.
          • Create, maintain, and update documentation regarding triage steps. Reassign a request/issue to the most appropriate owner within the team.
          • Manage website inbox to ensure proper ticket creation or response steps are taken.Process Improvement
            • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to existing processes to generate efficiencies and address relevant requirements.
            • Assist with process improvement such as implementing supporting tools.
            • Assist in the analysis of user behavior focused on actionable analytics to improve overall experience.
            • Develop analytic tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION (an equivalent amount of training, education, and experience will be considered)
              • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., communication, design, technology, MIS, IT, or project management).
              • Experience with graphic design, user experience design, or iPhone/Android app development a plus.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES including competencies that may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
                • Strong problem-solving ability.
                • Strong organizational skills.
                • Ability to learn new tools, techniques and approaches quickly.
                • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
                • Strong communication skills.
                • Any experience with SQL, data visualization, or software development is a plus.
                • Periodic overnight travel (minimal)SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND COORDINATION required to perform the functions of this job.
                  • The person in this position will coordinate and drive collaborative activities with colleagues within the department; they may also grow to be a representative to other departments.
