Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Execute plant sanitationtear down procedures, programs and regulatory requirements ensuring all plantequipment is clean and safe for production Disassembles equipmentaccording to the master sanitation schedule, by request to complete quarterlytear downs per HACCP, by request of production and as requested by management Re-assembles equipment afterit has been cleaned by employee and ensures it is operating to OEM standards Ensures that all ofthe information is recorded on the required systems, report deviations tosupervisor and management team. Assists thesupervisors and leads to coordinate the activities of individual departments. Maintains sanitation equipment (i.e. foamers, magnets,chemical dispensing units) operational. Monitor the chemical storage and dispense theappropriate concentration for cleaning activities Operates productionequipment (sauce tanks, CIP, mixers, sheeting lines, conveyors, proofers, andfreezers, etc) to ensure proper cleanliness. Acquire andmaintain fall protection and power industrial equipment certification to cleanevaporators and other equipment in elevated areas. Follows sanitation processes and procedures as well asHACCP and safety programs. Ensures that thesanitation and production equipment is inspected before and after cleaning. Submits requestsfor repair of the equipment to the Manager or Superintendent. Ensures that the sanitationof equipment, machinery and rooms in production are acceptable. Provides feedback forrepairs needed during non producing shifts. Requests materials and/orequipment through the Manager or Superintendent as needed. Ensures that all work activities are performed withattention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with allappropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuousimprovement. Ensures that allsanitation containers are properly labelled. Ensures propercommunication and assists in pre-ops and changeovers between shifts. Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs aswell as improve processes. Ensures that allwork activities are performed with attention to the highest standards forquality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirementsand a focus on continuous improvement. Follows allcompany policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good ManufacturingPractices). Maintains a highlevel of safety awareness for an accident-free work place. Reports anyunsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. Follows daily workinstructions from the Manager and Superintendent and performs duties in atimely manner. Maintains thecleanliness of working areas. Accomplishes alltasks as appropriately assigned or requested. Education,Skills and Experience: Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Three (3) to six (6) months of related experience in a foodmanufacturing facility. Skills and Experience: Knowledge of cleaningchemicals, LOTO, safety regulations Ability to use scissorlifts, fork-lifts as needed to access equipment Sense of urgency and abilityto meet deadlines; self-directed Ability to work overtime, irregularhours or rotating shifts. Ability tominimally speak and write in English. Ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policyand procedure manuals. Ability to usetools and perform repairs as needed. Ability to conveystandard information in written and verbal form. Ability to add, subtract,multiply, and divide. Ability to takemeasurements appropriately. Ability toeffectively communicate to appropriate personnel. Ability to operatesanitation equipment. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50pounds unassisted, and occasionally lift and/or move 51-100 pounds assisted.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability toadjust focus. Work Environment: Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in amanufacturing environment. The noiselevel in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job inthe plant, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed toairborne particles. Employee may beexposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.While in the plant, the employee is required to utilize the required personalprotective equipment.
